I was a broken and profoundly wounded person before receiving Jesus into my heart and making Him the King and Lord of my life. Throughout my life, I felt unloved and unworthy of being loved by anyone, including my family and friends.
Abandonment, rejection, and the fear of being unloved and alone were issues I lived with daily. An inner recording of rejection and pain played incessantly in my mind.

No matter what I tried to do, I couldn't stop the thoughts. Yet love was a driving emotion. I longed to be loved because of who I am, not what I could give.
